- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup whole natural yogurt
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 level teaspoon baking soda
- 1 level tablespoon baking powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
For the icing
1 ½ cartons heavy cream
200 grams of ½ dark chocolate
How to Make
Cake
Place the eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat well with a whisk. Add the natural yogurt and honey and mix a little more to homogenize.
Add the oatmeal, cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda and mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
Pour the mixture into a 20-cm-diameter central-hole cake tin, greased and sprinkled with oatmeal.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven, allow to cool and unmold onto a serving platter.
Topping
Melt the ½ dark chocolate in the microwave every 30 seconds, add the cream and mix well to obtain a glossy cream.
Pour this cream over the cake, spreading it over the entire surface.
Serve this incredible honey cake afterwards!
